Super Eagles' World Cup timetable announced - FCNaija fcnaija.com Dec 28, 2017 1:00 PM Ahead of the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) have announced a timetable for the build-up of the Super Eagles and the timetable will see the Eagles play five warm-up matches before they open their campaign on June 16 against Croatia. NFF president Amaju Pinnick has informed that the team will play two friendlies in March. It is believed that the first game in March will be against another World Cup-bound team Poland on March 23. The Eagles will then play another friendly against another team who will feature at the World Cup four days later. The three-time African champions are then scheduled to play another warm-up game on May 27 at the Abuja National Stadium with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari expected to be special guest. A group made up of five men on Wednesday, “opened” a new secretariat for a faction of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), in Abuja. According to PUNCH, the five men are; Prince Obi Nwosu, Alhaji Hassan Adamu, Chief Olusola Akindele, Chief Godwin Duru and Franklyne Edede. The office is located at Asokoro District of Abuja, and only two flags of the party are taped to the building to indicate that it is a party office. Nwosu, who is the leader of the five-man faction, said the new PDP faction is emerging due to the imposition of a unity list on members on December 9. He added that members of the National Working Committee of his group would be announced in January next year.
